

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Jan. 26 (UPI) -- Six stars from the big-screen comedy "Bridesmaids" are to be presenters at the 84th Academy Awards in Los Angeles, the show's organizers said.
Telecast producers Brian Grazer and Don Mischer announced Thursday the participation of "Bridesmaids" cast members Rose Byrne, Ellie Kemper, Melissa McCarthy, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Maya Rudolph and Kristen Wiig.
McCarthy is nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her performance in the film. Wiig, who co-wrote the film as well as acted in it, is nominated in the Original Screenplay category.
All six actresses will be making their first Oscar show appearances, the producers said.
Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2011 are to be presented Feb. 26 at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center.
