Oscar nod ballots due back Friday

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Jan. 13 (UPI) -- Thousands of voting members of Hollywood's Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences returned their Oscar nomination ballots by Friday's deadline.

Nomination ballots went out to the 5,783 voting members last month. Ballots returned after Friday will not be counted, the academy said.

The 84th Academy Awards nominations will be announced Jan. 24. Winners will be presented with their Oscars at a ceremony Feb. 26 at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center. The show will be televised live by ABC.
