Teen solves centuries-old math problem

PALM SPRINGS, Calif., Jan. 8 (UPI) -- Brad Pitt says it was a stumble that resulted in him needing a cane to walk the red carpet at the Palm Springs, Calif., film festival this weekend.
Pitt and Angelina Jolie were among the stars at the awards gala at the festival, and Pitt drew a lot of scrutiny for an injury he said happened in the home.
"I was carrying my daughter and I tripped and fell," Pitt told The Hollywood Reporter. "But everyone's fine."
Pitt could have stayed home on the sofa; however, he was being honored Saturday night with the Desert Palm Achievement Actor Award for his work in last year's "Moneyball" and "Tree of Life."
