LOS ANGELES, Dec. 22 (UPI) -- Harrison Ford has signed up for a role in "Ender's Game," a science-fiction film based on Orson Scott Card's novel, The Hollywood Reporter said.
Set to start shooting in February, the movie also will co-star Abigail Breslin and Hailee Steinfeld, as well as "Hugo" cast-mates Asa Butterfield and Ben Kingsley.
The entertainment industry trade newspaper said Gavin Hood wrote the screenplay for and is to direct the futuristic "Ender's Game," which is about a battle school that trains people how to fight an insect-like race attacking the Earth.
Ford is best known for his work in the Star Wars and Indiana Jones blockbusters.
