
LOS ANGELES, Dec. 11 (UPI) -- "New Year's Eve," with Robert De Niro and a large cast, was No. 1 this weekend with more than $13.7 million in gross U.S. receipts.
"The Sitter," with Jonah Hill, was No. 2 with $10 million.
All studio estimates of gross U.S. box office receipts are via Box Office Mojo.
"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 ," after three weekends in the No. 1 spot, finally dropped to No. 3 with $7.9 million;
"The Muppets" was fourth with more than $7.07 million; "Arthur Christmas" fifth with $6.6 million; "Hugo" sixth with more than $6,12 million; "The Descendants" seventh with more than $4.83 million; "Happy Feet Two" eighth with $3.75 million; and "Jack and Jill" ninth with $3.2 million.
"Immortals" was 10th with more than $2.44 million.
