Teen solves centuries-old math problem

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 9 (UPI) -- Jodie Foster's estranged father Lucius has been sentenced in a Los Angeles court to five years in jail, People.com said Friday.
The 89-year-old building contractor was convicted this week of grand theft and contracting without a license.
He was found guilty of swindling $130,000 from poor and elderly people in a home-building scam and faced as much as 25 years in prison at sentencing.
Foster, who divorced Jodie's mother before the actress was born, told TV's "Inside Edition" he didn't steal the investors' money and blamed the bad economy for the charges against him.
