LOS ANGELES, Dec. 7 (UPI) -- Building contractor Lucius Foster, the father of Hollywood actress Jodie Foster, has been convicted of grand theft and contracting without a license.
Lucius Foster, 89, was convicted Wednesday of swindling $130,000 from poor and elderly people in a home-building scam.
He faces as much as 25 years in prison when he is sentenced Thursday, People.com said.
Lucius Foster, who divorced Jodie's mother before the actress was born, told TV's "Inside Edition" this week he did not steal the investors' money and blamed the bad economy for the charges against him.
