NEW YORK, Nov. 17 (UPI) -- Megan Fox says she is in the process of having a tattooed image of Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe removed from her inner right arm.
"I'm just over it," People.com said Fox told reporters after her performance in Montblanc's 24-Hour Plays in New York Monday. "You outgrow things that you love when you were a child. I got it when I was 18 and now I'm 25 and it just doesn't make sense anymore."
The star of the first two "Transformers" movies admitted the process to remove the image is "a hundred times worse than the tattoo itself."
"I've only done one [removal session] so I probably have three or four left," she said. "I think it will come off completely because I have the right skin type to remove ink. The more fair-skinned you are, the easier it is to remove dark ink, and I'm as fair as it gets."
There has been a revival of interest in Monroe recently thanks to the new film "My Week with Marilyn," which has been generating Oscar buzz for Michelle Williams, who plays the actress in the movie.
