CICERO, Ill., Oct. 30 (UPI) -- Police say a Chicago-area man was arrested this weekend on charges of movie piracy.

Dwon Kelly, 35, Maywood, was busted during a traffic stop by Cicero police who alleged Kelly reeked of marijuana and also had four bags in his car stuffed with hundreds of bootleg DVDs.

Police did not buy Kelly's claim he had found the sacks of movies abandoned in an alley and officials contacted the Motion Picture Association of America. The Chicago Tribune said Sunday the association planned to press charges of copyright laws.

Police said the DVDs included copies of "Rango" and other recent releases.
