THAL, Austria, Oct. 7 (UPI) -- Austrian-born actor Arnold Schwarzenegger attended the opening of the Arnold Schwarzenegger's Birth House Museum in his hometown of Thal.
Featuring props and costumes from his movies, the museum is located in the two-story house where the film star spent his early years, the BBC said.
"My personal success has less to do with millions of dollars or with the headlines in the media that are not always positive and also not with being clapped on the shoulder by [U.S. President] Barack Obama and other world names," the 64-year-old former bodybuilder and California governor told the hundreds of fans who gathered at the museum opening. "Personal success is the result of determination, hard work and stubbornness. For me, this is not only a museum, it is also a symbol of will. Everyone has a chance."
The BBC said Schwarzenegger's adult son Patrick accompanied him to the event.
