Plummer set for Hollywood film honor

HOLLYWOOD, Sept. 26 (UPI) -- Christopher Plummer, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Jessica Chastain are to be honored at next month's Hollywood Film Awards Gala, organizers said Monday.

The event is to take place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif., Oct. 24.

Plummer will receive the Hollywood Supporting Actor Award for "Beginners," while Gordon-Levitt will be honored with the Hollywood Breakthrough Actor Award for "50/50" and actress Jessica Chastain will be presented with the Hollywood Breakthrough Actress Award for "The Tree of Life," "Coriolanus," "The Debt," "The Help" and "Take Shelter."

Felicity Jones also will be honored with the New Hollywood Award for "Crazy Love."

"It is extraordinary that all of these honorees have contributed their talent to such high-quality films, and it is a great pleasure to honor them for their work," Carlos de Abreu, founder of the Hollywood Awards Gala, said in a statement Monday.
