Sizemore arrested on battery warrant

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 21 (UPI) -- Hollywood actor Tom Sizemore was arrested Tuesday on an outstanding battery warrant, authorities said.

The "Heat" and "Saving Private Ryan" star has seen his once-bright career eclipsed in recent years by his substance abuse and related drug arrests.

The Los Angeles Times said he was arrested at an apartment early Tuesday, and then booked into Los Angeles County Jail in lieu of $26,000 bail.

No information about the incident which sparked the battery charge was available, the Times said.

Sizemore said on his Twitter page he recently shot episodes of the CBS-TV drama "Hawaii Five-0."
