LONDON, June 14 (UPI) -- British actor Sean Bean has been stabbed with a broken glass outside a London bar, but refused to seek medical attention, witnesses told the Daily Mail.

Bean, who has been divorced four times, was injured Sunday night while defending a female companion, model April Summers, about whom another bar patron made an impolite remark, the Mail said.

No arrests were made and the 52-year-old actor declined to seek medical attention from a doctor or hospital.

"Sean is a regular here and we've never had any problems before," the newspaper quoted an unnamed Hill Bar and Brasserie employee as saying. "He was with a very attractive woman and an incident occurred outside the bar. He came in with a cut on his arm and a bruise on his eyebrow. We saw to his injuries with the first aid kit. He seemed OK and wanted to have another drink."

Bean is best known for his work in the "Sharpe's ..." TV movies, as well as in the drama series "Game of Thrones" and the film "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring."
