Teen solves centuries-old math problem
LOS ANGELES, May 17 (UPI) -- Tim Burton will not direct Angelina Jolie as planned in Disney's "Maleficent," a movie about the witch from "Sleeping Beauty," The Hollywood Reporter said.
Burton's "Alice in Wonderland" collaborator Linda Woolverton, who also wrote the animated Disney musical movie "The Lion King," is penning the screenplay for "Maleficent."
One of the directors in contention to replace Burton is David Yates, who directed the past four "Harry Potter" movies, The Hollywood Reporter said.
No reason was given for Burton's departure from the project.
