'Eclipse' earns eight MTV Movie Award nods

LOS ANGELES, May 4 (UPI) -- The vampire romance "Twilight: Eclipse" led the field with eight nods when nominations for the MTV Movie Awards were announced in Los Angeles.

The sci-fi movie "Inception" earned seven nominations and the fantasy flick "Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part 1" picked up six nods, MTV.com said Tuesday.

The films were all nominated for Best Movie, alongside "Black Swan" and "The Social Network."

Nominated for Best Female Performance are Kristen Stewart for "Eclipse," Emma Stone for "Easy A," Emma Watson for "Deathly Hallows," Jennifer Aniston for "Just Go With It" and Natalie Portman for "Black Swan."

The nominees for Best Male Performance are Robert Pattinson for "Eclipse," Daniel Radcliffe for "Deathly Hallows," Jesse Eisenberg for "The Social Network," Taylor Lautner for "Eclipse" and Zac Efron for "Charlie St. Cloud."

The 20th annual MTV Movie Awards show is to air live June 5 from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, Calif., with comic actor Jason Sudeikis serving as host.
