

NEW YORK, March 29 (UPI) -- Film and television actor Farley Granger has died of natural causes at his home in Manhattan, the New York City medical examiner's office said. He was 85.
The Los Angeles Times confirmed his Sunday death; however, it did not report the exact cause.
The World War II veteran's film credits include Alfred Hitchcock's "Rope" and "Strangers on a Train," as well as "The North Star," "They Live by Night," "Roseanna McCoy," "Side Street," "The Story of Three Loves," "Edge of Doom," "Hans Christian Andersen," "The Girl in the Red Velvet Swing," "The Serpent," "The Man Called Noon," "The Imagemaker" and "The Whoopee Boys."
Granger also appeared on Broadway in the musical "First Impressions" and on the daytime soap operas "As the World Turns," "Edge of Night" and "One Life to Live," the Times noted.
