LOS ANGELES, March 25 (UPI) -- Colin Farrell's publicist confirmed the Irish actor read a poem at film icon Elizabeth Taylor's funeral.
The hourlong private ceremony was held Thursday at The Great Mausoleum at Forest Lawn cemetery in Glendale, Calif.
E! News said Farrell's representative said the "In Bruges" and "Miami Vice" star was a friend of Taylor's who read Gerard Manley Hopkins' poem "The Leaden Echo and the Golden Echo" aloud before she was laid to rest.
The multidenominational memorial service began 15 minutes later than scheduled because Taylor wanted to be late for her own funeral, E! News said.
