'Rango' moseys into No. 1 spot with $38M

LOS ANGELES, March 6 (UPI) -- The animated "Rango," featuring the voice of Johnny Depp, took the No. 1 spot at the U.S. box office during the weekend with $38 million.

"The Adjustment Bureau" wasn't close to "Rango" but still a strong second with more than $20.94 million.

All studio estimates of gross box office receipts are via Box Office Mojo.

"Beastly" was third with more than $10.11 million; "Hall Pass" fourth with more than $9.01 million; "Gnomeo and Julie" fifth with more than $6.91 million; "Unknown" sixth with $6.62 million; the Oscar-winning "The King's Speech" seventh with more than $6.5 million; "Just Go With It" eighth $6.5 million; "I Am Number Four" ninth with more than $5.7 million.

The documentary "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never" rounded out the top 10 with $4.32 million.
