'Unknown' takes No. 1 spot at box office

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 20 (UPI) -- "Unknown," with Liam Neeson, took the No. 1 spot at the U.S. box office during the weekend with $21.77 million in gross receipts.

"I Am Number Four," with an ensemble company featuring Alex Pettyfer, was a close second with $19.5 million; the animated "Gnomeo and Juliet," with the voices of James McAvoy, Michael Caine, Maggie Smith and Patrick Stewart, a close third with $19.4 million.

All studio estimates of gross box receipts are via Box Office Mojo.

"Just Go With It" was fourth and also close to the leaders with $18.2 million; "Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son" with $17 million was fifth.

"Justin Bieber: Never Say Never" was sixth with $13.6 million; "The King's Speech" seventh with more than $6.56 million; "The Roommate" eighth with $4.1 million; "The Eagle" ninth with more than $3.55 million.

"No Strings Attached" was 10th with $3.12 million.
