BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Feb. 20 (UPI) -- The editors of "The Social Network," "Alice in Wonderland" and "Toy Story 3" have won top honors from their peers for 2010 films.
Angus Wall and Kirk Baxter of "The Social Network" took the American Cinema Editors' Eddie Award for best edited dramatic feature at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif., Saturday night, The Hollywood Reporter said.
Chris Lebenzon took the prize for feature musical or comedy for "Alice in Wonderland," and while "Toy Story 3's" Ken Schretzmann and Lee Unkrich won best edited animated feature, a category begun last year. "Exit Through the Gift Shop" won best edited documentary.
In four of the last five years, the Eddie winners have predicted the editing winners at the Oscars. No film has won best picture at the Academy Awards without snagging at least an Eddie nomination since "Ordinary People" in 1981.
This year, four ACE nominees also have Oscar nominations for best editing and best picture: "Black Swan," "The Fighter," "The King's Speech" and "The Social Network."
Also nominated for best picture "Toy Story 3" and Eddie nominees "The Kids Are All Right" and "Inception."
