Radcliffe to star in comedy 'Photographer'

LONDON, Feb. 17 (UPI) -- British actor Daniel Radcliffe has landed the lead role in the 1970s-set independent comedy "The Amateur Photographer," Variety said.

Radcliffe is best known for his portrayal of the titular wizard in the Harry Potter film franchise.

The Guardian said Christopher Monger is to direct "Photographer" from his screenplay, based on his own novel of the same name.

Monger's film credits include "The Englishman Who Went Up a Hill and Came Down a Mountain."
