LOS ANGELES, Feb. 5 (UPI) -- Hollywood screenwriters saluted "The Social Network" Friday with the annual University of Southern California Libraries Scripter Award.
Aaron Sorkin and Ben Mezrich received the honor at a gala at the university for their work on both the original book about the founding of Facebook and subsequent critically acclaimed movie.
The Los Angeles Times said the Scripter was the latest screenwriting award to go to "The Social Network."
Other nominees were "127 Hours," "True Grit," "Ghost Writer" and "Winter's Bone."
