NEW YORK, Jan. 30 (UPI) -- Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg hooked up with the man who played him in the movie "The Social Network" on "Saturday Night Live" in New York City.

Zuckerberg was introduced to Jesse Eisenberg, who played him in the Oscar-nominated film, during the opening monologue on the program Saturday.

The meeting involved a sketch between Eisenberg, and "SNL" cast member Andy Samberg, who impersonates Zuckerman on the program. Samberg and Eisenberg traded quips, while the real Mark Zuckerman was shown backstage with executive producer Lorne Michaels, CNN reported.

"Why can't I go in there? I'm the real Mark Zuckerberg," Zuckerberg asked Michaels in a backstage segment while Eisenberg and Samberg joked around onstage. "Those guys are such nerds. Come on, I invented poking."

Then the real Zuckerberg joined the two impersonators onstage.

"Wait -- have you two not met? Awkward!" Samberg said as Zuckerman came out. "Well, I'll be going, Samberg out."

"So?" Eisenberg said.

"So?' Zuckerberg responded. "I really liked you on '60 Minutes.'"

"Thanks, man," Eisenberg said.

Eisenberg then asked: "You ever end up seeing the film 'The Social Network'?"

"Yeah, I did," said Zuckerberg.

"Cool. Thanks. And what did you think?"

"It was interesting," Zuckerberg said.

"Interesting? You know, I'll take it."

Zuckerberg and Eisenberg then shook hands.
