Publicist: Hardy's not Lohan's sober coach

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 10 (UPI) -- Tom Hardy's publicist says the British actor is not starlet Lindsay Lohan's sober mentor, contrary to a report claiming he is.

TMZ said Hardy, best known for his work in "Inception," has been helping Lohan stay away from drugs and alcohol since she was released from California's Betty Ford Center last week.

However, Hardy's representative told FOX411.com the report is inaccurate and Hardy is not Lohan's "sober mentor."

Sources told FOX411.com Hardy has been sober since 2003.
