LOS ANGELES, Jan. 5 (UPI) -- Atlanta club promoter Omar "Slim" White has proposed to Vivica A. Fox, a representative for the actress and TV personality told the New York Post.
Fox accepted the proposal Dec. 26 when White offered her an 8-carat ring while they were staying at the Ritz Carlton in South Beach, Fla., the Post said.
UsMagazine.com said the couple have been dating about a year.
Fox, who is best known for her work in the films "Independence Day" and "Soul Food," was previously married to singer Christopher Harvest. They divorced in 2002 after four years of marriage.
Fox's small-screen credits include "The Starlet," "Dancing with the Stars," "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and "The Game."
