Teen solves centuries-old math problem

ALBUQUERQUE, Jan. 1 (UPI) -- U.S. actor Val Kilmer owes the Internal Revenue Service nearly $500,000 in unpaid federal taxes, legal documents show.
Kilmer starred in the hit films "Top Gun," "Willow," "The Doors," "Batman Forever" and "Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang," but in recent years has appeared mainly in supporting roles in smaller movies.
DetNews.com said this week the IRS filed a $498,165 lien against Kilmer Nov. 30 in New Mexico where he owns a ranch.
The government agency previously filed a lien against the actor for $538,000 in 2009, but Kilmer has since reconciled that debt, TMZ said.
Kilmer's representatives did not respond to TMZ's request for comment on the story.
