HOLLYWOOD, Nov. 20 (UPI) -- Actress Rosario Dawson says she is playing it low-key as she stalks a role in the next "Star Trek" movie.
The sultry star of "Unstoppable" told The Hollywood Reporter she didn't tell co-star Chris Pine or "Trek" director J.J. Abrams she was a longtime Trekkie with the chops to play "one sexy Vulcan" in the next installment of the franchise.
"I'm trying to be cool about it," Dawson said at an event in Los Angeles.
Dawson said not only did she not pester Pine, who will be playing Capt. Kirk, but she also avoided pitching herself to Abrams, who she ran into during a recent airline flight to Los Angeles. "We flew on the same flight together, but we ended up talking about politics and T-shirts," she said.
The actress reassured The Hollywood Reporter she still has her eye on a role and was letting the right people know. "I'm working on it," she said.
