'Inception' wins Hollywood Movie Award

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 26 (UPI) -- Christopher Nolan's "Inception" won the Hollywood Movie Award at the 14th annual Hollywood Awards Gala ceremony Monday night, organizers said.

More than 1,100 people attended the event at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

"Inception" was chosen by the public through the Yahoo! Movies Web site. The voting site received 20 million unique visitors and more than 260,000 votes were cast.

The other nominees for the Hollywood Movie Award were "Alice in Wonderland," "Despicable Me," "The Expendables," "How to Train Your Dragon," "Iron Man 2," "Salt," "The Social Network," "Shutter Island" and "Toy Story 3."

Also honored at the ceremony were Sylvester Stallone, Sean Penn, Robert Duvall, Annette Bening, Sam Rockwell, Helena Bonham Carter, Andrew Garfield, Mia Wasikowska, Jennifer Lawrence, Jesse Eisenberg, Justin Timberlake, Armie Hammer, Max Minghella, Brenda Song, Rashida Jones, Josh Pence, Douglas Urbanski, Rooney Mara, Milla Jovovich, Mila Kunis, Leighton Meester, Barry Pepper, Noomi Rapace, Zach Galifiankis, Tom Hooper, Danny Boyle, Christian Colson and Aaron Sorkin.
