SANTA MONICA, Calif., Oct. 25 (UPI) -- Hollywood actor Jack Black was a blast to work with during taping of an "iCarly" TV special, "iStart a Fan War," his colleagues say.

"Jack Black is one of the funniest people I know, and it was wonderful working with him again," Miranda Cosgrove, who also appeared with Black in "School of Rock," said in a statement. "He kept the entire cast and crew laughing in between takes with hilarious riffs of the battle song he sings in the episode."

"I've worked with lots of big stars, and I've never been more blown away than I was by Jack Black," added Dan Schneider, "iCarly" creator and executive producer. "His role was very demanding and he worked his butt off and was a pleasure every minute. Jack is hilarious and the consummate professional -- if he ever needs a kidney, he can have one of mine."

In the hour-long, Comic-con-inspired special based on the hit TV series "iCarly," Black stars as Aspartamay, Spencer's online video game rival who challenges him to a "lyrical duel," Nickelodeon said in a news release Monday.
