LOS ANGELES, Oct. 4 (UPI) -- A Los Angeles judge sentenced filmmaker John McTiernan to a year in prison for his role in the Anthony Pellicano wiretapping case, New York magazine said.
McTiernan's film credits include "Die Hard," "Predator," "The Hunt for Red October" and "Rollerball."
He has admitted hiring private investigator Pellicano to wiretap producer Charles Rosen in 2002, then lying about the illegal activity during a 2006 FBI investigation, the magazine noted.
Pellicano is serving a 15-year prison term for wiretapping people in the entertainment industry.
