Rep confirms Penelope Cruz is pregnant

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 14 (UPI) -- Penelope Cruz's publicist has confirmed the Oscar-winning Spanish actress is pregnant with her first child.

Cruz married her "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" co-star Javier Bardem earlier this year. Baby rumors have swirled around them since.

"Penelope is 4-and-a-half months pregnant," representatives for the couple told People.com.

The baby's gender was not reported.
