MAYWOOD, Ill., Sept. 5 (UPI) -- An extra injured on the Indiana set where "Transformers 3" is being filmed is recovering from surgery, and her condition is improving, her brother says.
Gabriela Cedillo, 24, was in Loyola Medical Center in Maywood, Ill., and was unconscious, the Chicago Tribune said Sunday.
She was hurt Wednesday as she drove her own vehicle in a stunt on a closed movie set when a metal object crashed through her windshield and struck her in the head. The vehicle continued moving for nearly a mile, before crashing into a concrete barrier, the report said.
"She already had (the operation) and she's doing better," said her brother, Adan Cedillo. He did not say what the surgery was for.
The final scenes in action movie were being filmed at Millennium Park when the accident occurred, delaying production, the newspaper said.
