LOS ANGELES, Aug. 24 (UPI) -- The Los Angeles County coroner's office says actor-comedian Martin Short's wife, Nancy Dolman, died of natural causes at the age of 58.

Media reports said Dolman and Short met in the 1970s while performing in a stage production of the musical "Godspell" in their native Canada. They were married 30 years and have three adult children.

Details about the time, location and cause of Dolman's death have not been released by her family.

E! News noted Dolman had been battling cancer since 2007.

"(Nancy Dolman) was under the care of a private physician for a natural disease," Los Angeles County Coroner Chief Craig Harvey told People.com Tuesday. "There will be no coroner involvement."

The Web site said Short's publicist declined to comment on the cause of Dolman's death.
