LOS ANGELES, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- Security researchers at McAfee say those looking for information about Hollywood actress Cameron Diaz online are likely to be led to malicious sites.

Eweek said Diaz, star of "Knight and Day," "Charlie's Angels" and "My Best Friend's Wedding," tops McAfee's Dangerous Celebrity list this year.

The roster tracks which celebrities names, when entered into search engines, are used to link fans to sites featuring malware, the trade publication said.

Second on the 2010 list is Julia Roberts, followed by Jessica Biel, Gisele Bundchen and Brad Pitt.

Rounding out the top tier are Adriana Lima, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Tom Cruise, Heidi Klum and Penelope Cruz tied at 8th, and Anna Paquin.

"This year, the search results for celebrities are safer than they've been in previous years, but there are still dangers when searching online," Dave Marcus, security researcher for McAfee Labs, said in a statement. "Now they're hiding malicious content in 'tiny' places like shortened URLs that can spread virally in social networking sites and Twitter, instead of on Web sites and downloads."
