'Guys' rakes it in at the box office

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 8 (UPI) -- "The Other Guys" starring those guys Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg, took the No. 1 spot at the U.S. box office for the weekend with $35.6 million.

"Inception" with Leonardo DiCaprio was a strong No. 2 even after four weekends, with $18.6 million in box office receipts.

In the No. 3 spot, "Step Up 3-D," charged higher prices for 3-D and raked in $15.5 million.

All studio-estimated gross box office receipts are via Box Office Mojo.

Angelina Jolie's "Salt" was fourth with $11.1 million; "Dinner for Schmucks" fifth with $10.5 million; "Despicable Me" sixth with $9.4 million; "Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore" seventh with $6.91 million; "Charlie St. Cloud" eighth with $4.7 million; and "Toy Story 3" ninth with more than $3.04 million.

"The Kids Are All Right" rounded out the top 10 with more than $2.60 million.
