Teen solves centuries-old math problem
LONDON, Aug. 6 (UPI) -- The big-screen adaptation of Kazuo Ishiguro's novel "Never Let Me Go" is to open this year's BFI London Film Festival, organizers said.
Directed by Mark Romanek, the drama stars Carey Mulligan, Keira Knightley and Andrew Garfield.
The film about former boarding school pupils who confront their sheltered past is scheduled to have its European debut at the festival Oct. 13, the BBC reported.
"I think I can speak for the entire cast and crew when I say that we are deeply honored and excited to have been selected to open this year's festival," Romanek said. "For me personally, it seems the perfect way to celebrate the conclusion of an incredible film-making experience in the United Kingdom."
