'Clash' tops U.S. DVD sales, rental charts

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 5 (UPI) -- The Greek mythology-themed "Clash of the Titans" is the top-selling DVD and rental in the United States, Rentrak said Thursday.

Coming in at No. 2 on the DVD sales roster for the week ending Aug. 1 is "Cop Out," followed by "Repo Man" at No. 3, "Batman: Under the Red Hood" at No. 4 and "The Losers" at No. 5.

Rounding out the top tier are "Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief" at No. 6, "The Book of Eli" at No. 7, "Hot Tub Time Machine" at No. 8, "The Bounty Hunter" at No. 9 and "Alice in Wonderland" at No. 10.

The No. 2 rental for the week ending July 31 is "Cop Out." "The Bounty Hunter" is No. 3, "Repo Men" No. 4,

"The Losers" No. 5, "Hot Tub Time Machine" No. 6, "Brooklyn's Finest" No. 7, "The Crazies" No. 8,

"Our Family Wedding" at No. 9 and "She's Out Of My League" No. 10, Rentrak said.
