LOS ANGELES, June 17 (UPI) -- Film stars Clive Owen and Nicole Kidman have been cast in an upcoming HBO film about late U.S. author Ernest Hemingway, TVGuide.com said.

James Gandolfini, former star of the cable network's iconic drama "The Sopranos," is to executive produce "Hemingway & Gellhorn," a film about the courtship and 5-year marriage of Hemingway and

war correspondent Martha Gellhorn, the Web site said.

The movie is slated to begin shooting next year.

Hemingway -- the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of "The Old Man and the Sea," "For Whom the Bell Tolls," "To Have and Have Not," "The Sun Also Rises" and "A Farewell to Arms" -- committed suicide in 1961 at age 61.
