HOLLYWOOD, June 14 (UPI) -- "Grease: Sing-a-Long" will have special limited engagements in Houston, Orlando, Phoenix, San Antonio and Detroit, Paramount Pictures said Monday.
The cities were chosen because they had the most fans request screenings of the digitally re-mastered movie musical during an online campaign.
The Top 5 Demand it! cities are to start exclusive runs of the film July 15, Paramount said.
"Grease: Sing-a-Long" is expected to begin playing July 8 in the first run of exclusive showings in 12 markets across the United States.
Paramount said tickets for these first cities are quickly selling out, including those in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Boston, Dallas, Atlanta, Seattle, Fort Lauderdale/Miami, San Diego, Austin and Ocala.
The 1978 movie starred John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John as high-school students from different backgrounds who fall in love.
