LOS ANGELES, June 11 (UPI) -- Jodie Foster's publicist says the Hollywood actress is denying a teenager's allegation that she assaulted him after he approached and asked her for a photo.

Foster, 47, is known for her roles in "Taxi Driver," "The Silence of the Lambs" and "The Accused."

RadarOnline said a police report filed by a 17-year-old boy and his father in Los Angeles alleged the Oscar-winning star pushed, shoved, scratched and bruised the teen when he asked to snap a picture of her May 29 at The Grove mall.

Foster's publicist painted quite a different scenario Friday.

"This guy was most definitely a professional paparazzo," the actress's representative told People.com.

"He had a large camera bag and 1000mm telephoto lens. He tailed Jodie and followed her all the way from the movie theater to the valet," the representative said. "He crowded her and her two young children and took photos of them the whole time... .This guy's behavior was completely inappropriate and the police report is a fabrication of the incident."

Foster has two sons, ages 8 and 11.
