NEW YORK, May 25 (UPI) -- Kate Winslet's publicist says the British actress is fine after hurting herself playing basketball with her children during the weekend.

The New York Post said production on the new HBO miniseries "Mildred Pierce" was suspended Monday because the Oscar winner, who plays the title character, was bruised playing with 9-year-old Mia and 6-year-old Joe.

"She fell after being hit by a basketball and suffered bruising that couldn't be covered with make-up, so the entire production was halted Monday," a source told the Post.

Winslet's representatives confirmed the incident and told the newspaper, "She is fine."
