NEW YORK, May 25 (UPI) -- Adrien Brody and Alison Pill have joined the cast of "Midnight in Paris," a film to shoot in France this summer, U.S. writer-director Woody Allen said Tuesday.

The romantic comedy, which currently is in pre-production, also stars Kathy Bates, Carla Bruni, Marion Cotillard, Rachel McAdams, Michael Sheen and Owen Wilson.

It co-stars Nina Arianda, Kurt Fuller, Tom Hiddleston, Mimi Kennedy and Corey Stoll.

"Paris" is about a family traveling to the city for business.

"The film celebrates a young man's great love for Paris, and simultaneously explores the illusion people have that a life different from their own is better," a synopsis of the movie explained.
