NEW YORK, May 10 (UPI) -- A funeral has been held for Lynn Redgrave in Connecticut where the British actress had a home, the BBC reported.

The sister of actress Vanessa Redgrave and aunt of the late actress Natasha Richardson died last week at the age of 67 after a long battle with breast cancer.

The BBC said Richardson's widower, actor Liam Neeson, and her sister, Joely, along with her mother, Vanessa, attended Lynn's private funeral at the First Congregational Church of Kent in Connecticut.

Lynn Redgrave, a two-time Oscar nominee, was later buried near her mother in a rural cemetery in Lithgow, N.Y., the British broadcaster said.
