LONDON, May 9 (UPI) -- Former Oasis singer Liam Gallagher says he is adapting Richard DiLello's book about The Beatles into a feature film.

"The Longest Cocktail Party" is focuses on the fab four's record company, Apple, between 1968 and 1970, the BBC reported.

The biopic will be produced by Gallagher's film company, In 1 Productions, in conjunction with UK Independent Revolution Films, the BBC said.

"This will be a film with humor and affection, providing an insider's look at what it meant to be a young man caught up in the wild swirl of the music business, celebrities and the tail end of the swinging 60s in London," a spokesman for Gallagher's company said.

During their years with Oasis, both Liam and his brother Noel Gallagher repeatedly expressed admiration for The Beatles and recorded covers of "I Am The Walrus" and "Within You Without You."

Oasis broke up in 2009 amid a feud between the brothers.
