Stars line up for costume gala at the Met

NEW YORK, May 4 (UPI) -- Renee Zellweger, Gisele Bundchen and Barbara Walters were among those at Monday night's Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

Presiding over the "American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity" event were media mogul Oprah Winfrey, Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour and Gap design executive Patrick Robinson, The New York Times said.

Other guests included rockers Mick Jagger and David Bowie, as well as fashion designers Oscar de la Renta, Vera Wang and Donatella Versace.

Also making the scene were New York Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, country singer Taylor Swift, reality TV personality Nicole Richie, actresses Tina Fey, Kate Bosworth, Chloe Sevigny, Eva Longoria Parker, Kristen Davis and Kristen Stewart, and rapper-producer Sean Combs.
