LONDON, April 20 (UPI) -- The world premiere of "Iron Man 2" has been moved from London to Los Angeles due to the volcanic ash cloud making it difficult to fly into or out of Europe.

Many flights have been disrupted since volcanic ash was emitted into airspace when Iceland's Mount Eyjafjallajoekull erupted last week.

Paramount and Marvel announced Tuesday the location change for next Monday's "Iron Man 2" premiere, The Hollywood Reporter said.

Directed by Jon Favreau, the superhero sequel stars Hollywood titans Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Scarlett Johansson, Mickey Rourke and Samuel L. Jackson.
