LOS ANGELES, April 3 (UPI) -- Tia Carrere, the actress best known for "Wayne's World" and Wayne's World 2," has filed for divorce in Los Angeles from her second husband.

Carrere and Simon Wakelin, a British photojournalist, have been married for seven years. Carrere, representing herself, filed divorce papers Thursday giving irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split, People magazine reported.

The couple signed a prenuptial agreement, court papers say. Carrere is seeking custody of their 4-year-old daughter, Bianca.

Carrere and Elie Samaha, a producer, divorced in 2000.

Born Althea Rae Duhinio Janairo in Hawaii, Carrere, 43, has had a 25-year film and television career. But she remains best-known for her work in the two Wayne's World movie.

A trained singer, she has also released two albums.
