LOS ANGELES, March 27 (UPI) -- Scottish actor Gerard Butler, known for his roles in films like "300," says his greatest fear is his own unpredictability.

Parade Magazine reported Friday that Butler, 40, confessed he recognizes his troubling personality trait, but for some reason has been incapable of containing his unpredictability.

"You know, what I'm scared of, honestly -- more than anything -- is myself," Butler said. "I'm so unpredictable and I never know where I'm going to go next. And despite knowing that, it doesn't stop the unpredictability."

Another personality trait the "Law Abiding Citizen" actor finds troubling is his personal drive for perfection when working on films.

"I'm still bothered by scenes that I did in 2002 that didn't go the way that I wanted them to go, where I felt that magic moments were missed," Butler told Parade Magazine. "I know that I had a chance and it's gone forever. It really bothers me a lot."
