Teen solves centuries-old math problem
LOS ANGELES, March 22 (UPI) -- Singer and actress Jennifer Lopez is up for the female lead in the remake of the 1987 romantic comedy "Overboard," sources told The Hollywood Reporter.
The original movie starred Goldie Hawn as a hard-to-please rich woman who falls off her yacht and suffers from amnesia. Kurt Russell played a carpenter she treated badly who seeks revenge against her by convincing her she is the mother of his four rambunctious sons.
While Lopez is in the running for the Hawn role, no actor has been mentioned to play Russell's character in the new version.
The Hollywood Reporter said Adam Cooper, Bill Collage and Leslie Dixon wrote the script and Will Smith is producing the remake with his Overbrook partner James Lassiter.
