VENICE, Italy, Feb. 22 (UPI) -- Angelina Jolie's long-estranged father, actor Jon Voight, joined the star, her beau and their children on a trip in Venice's Grand Canal, UsMagizine.com said.
The family outing took place Sunday, the report said.
Jolie stopped speaking to Voight, her "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" co-star, in 2001 after he pleaded on television for her to seek help for her "serious mental problems."
Although Voight told UsMagazine.com last fall he and his daughter had recently reconciled, they had not been photographed together again until this past weekend.
"We're in touch, but not regularly," Voight told the magazine last fall. "We love each other and that's the most important thing."
Jolie, Brad Pitt and their six children are staying in Venice for a few months while the actress shoots her new movie "The Tourist."
